Our Team
We’re a small team with BIG ideas and a passion for doing things well.
For Keenan Allen, building homes isn’t just a profession, it's a lifelong passion.
A Nashville native, Keenan graduated from Tennessee Tech in 1991, where he attended on a football scholarship. In 1998, he began A & L Builders alongside his father and brother, laying the foundation for what has become more than 28 years of experience as a General Contractor.
One of Keenan’s earliest builds was for a local Realtor who still lives in—and loves—the home today. It’s a testament to the quality and longevity Keenan has always worked to bring to every home he builds.
Over the years, Keenan has built beautiful homes across Middle Tennessee, including Germantown, East Nashville, Charlotte Park, Brentwood, Goodlettsville, and Joelton. Known for his hands-on approach and genuine care for his clients, Keenan listens closely to their needs and concerns, making it his mission to create homes where families can truly thrive.
Joelton holds a particularly special place in Keenan’s story. His family has called the area home for five generations, and he and his wife, Cari, live in a home Keenan built there in 2000. They love the natural beauty and peaceful setting of the community, along with its easy access to downtown Nashville and growing mix of new homes and local favorites.
When he’s not on a job site, Keenan and Cari enjoy spending time together with their dog, Hershey. Some of their favorite things include beach travel, fishing, concerts and music festivals, cooking and entertaining at home, and taking Hershey for walks.
For Keenan, building a house is about more than walls and ceilings—it’s about quality that lasts and creating a place you’re proud to call home.
Keenan Allen—The Builder
A Middle Tennessee native, Cari Allen plays an important behind-the-scenes role at Keenan Allen Construction, helping support the day-to-day business operations and keeping things running smoothly.
Cari brings nearly three decades of experience in the real estate industry. When Keenan began pursuing a career in building, she earned her real estate license and worked part time as an affiliate broker with Century 21 from 1998 to 2006. In 2001, she expanded her career into the title industry, where she quickly developed an interest in real estate law and the closing process.
Over the years, Cari has worked in a variety of roles within the title and closing industry, gaining valuable experience as both a closer and processor. Since 2019, she has worked part time as a closer with Providence Title in Nashville. Her extensive knowledge of real estate transactions, attention to detail, and understanding of the closing process bring a valuable perspective to her role with Keenan Allen Construction.
Outside of work, family and their Joelton community are at the heart of life for Cari and Keenan. They are especially close with their nine nieces and nephews, whom they love like their own, and enjoy spending time with family, friends, and their dog, Hershey. Their strong roots in the community and the relationships they’ve built there are an important part of who they are.

Heather Vandenbergh joined the Keenan Allen Construction team in 2024 as Project Designer, but her connection to the KAC family goes back much further.
Heather and Cari first met in 7th grade at Neely’s Bend Middle School and have remained close friends ever since. Both grew up in Madison, and their decades-long friendship makes having Heather as part of the KAC team especially meaningful.
As Project Designer, Heather is behind the impeccable selections and interior designs featured throughout our most recent builds and projects. With a keen artistic eye and attention to detail, she brings each space to life while helping create a cohesive vision from start to finish.
Heather has quickly become an invaluable part of our design and building process, and we are so proud to have her as part of the Keenan Allen Construction team!
